There, she earned a coveted position at the city’s only five-star spa, where she quickly distinguished herself through her meticulous technique, knowledge of skin science, and ability to make clients feel seen and restored.

Alison’s early career in NYC wasn’t just about facials and high-end treatments—it was about mastering the art of service at the highest level. Her dedication to education and advancing the profession led to her becoming a published contributor for respected industry publications like WellSpa Magazine and Skin Inc., where she wrote articles on emerging trends, results-driven protocols, and the importance of client education. Her voice resonated in the national aesthetics community, and soon she became a sought-after speaker for The Aesthetic Guide, where she shared her insights on building successful practices and elevating industry standards.

Her expertise brought her to Richmond, Virginia, where she joined one of the region’s top dermatology practices as an aesthetic provider. There, she gained hands-on experience working alongside board-certified dermatologists, treating complex skin conditions, and deepening her understanding of medical aesthetics. She was later named Aesthetic Director and Consultant for an award-winning medical spa in Richmond, where she led the development of protocols, trained staff, and consulted on growth strategies that contributed to the spa’s regional acclaim.

Despite her success in larger markets, Alison always dreamed of bringing world-class aesthetics education back to her roots. She recognized a gap in esthetic education—especially outside of major cities—and envisioned a place where students could be trained not just in the basics, but in advanced, real-world techniques that reflected the evolving beauty and wellness industry.

That vision became reality when she founded the Blue Ridge School of Esthetics. Nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, the school was created with a singular mission: to raise the bar for esthetics education in Virginia and beyond. With nearly two decades of industry experience, Alison infused the curriculum with everything she wished she had as a student—clinical training, business acumen, hands-on mentorship, and an emphasis on building long-term client relationships.
